Necessities in selecting a band.

Choosing a band for an event does not have to be as hard as most people make it. You need to know a few things prior to searching for a band.

. Decide on your budget range

. Decide on the style of music you want played

. Decide on the size of the band (#of people or parts in a band)

. Know where the event will take place and where the band will be stationed

.If it's an oudoor event, you need to have a bad weather back up plan set up.

Once you have figured out these details, you need to do your research.  Begin by searching for the type of band that you require.  Make sure you give yourself many options to choose from.   Prepare a list of questions to ask them prior to contacting them.  Questions about pricing, style of music they play, band leader history, band past performances, number of sets played during an event, number of breaks taken during an event, .

Request to see them perform live if possible.  Now a days, most company will provide you with videos of their past or current performances, which is just as good.   If you decide to hire them, make sure you will get the same individuals that you saw performing live or in the video.   Make sure that they provide you with a plan of action in case somebody can't be there for the performance.  Get information about their refund policy and make sure you understand it.
