Unique and appreciated caricatures for parties or gifts. Alison is not just some drawing broad! Sure, there’s a drawing board for creating wonderful, uplifting pictures, but this artist does more than just that. Guests have a good time when they go to a party where this artist is drawing. She plays up their positive traits - such as their beautiful eyes or their successful business - it can be better than getting a photograph!.

Attention naturally goes to the entertainer, but Alison has a way of redirecting that attention toward the host or the guests themselves. Some examples of ‘party fun’ that goes on while these momentos are being created are:

1.If the party is quiet enough for people to talk, the artist might ask a group of onlookers to tell her a little something about the ’subject’. Get’s the ‘audience’ involved! And if there’s a different situation, if the guests don’t know each other yet, this artist might ask the ’subject’ to “tell us a little about yourself. So I’ll have some ideas of what to draw for you.” It works as a great ‘ice-breaker’.

2.When a couple wants a caricature together, the artist might position them in ways that make them more aware of each other than of the artist. Sometimes, they’re asked to sit knee to knee and just look into each others eyes without speaking. It’s an experience that they might never have taken if not for having come to this party. Or sometimes, they take turns in one chair - with one partner asked to stand behind the chair and rub to ’subject’s’ shoulders during the sitting.

3.Sometimes, the artist gets a chance to make the guests realize how generous their host is. If a guest asks to pay for the picture - “Nothing for you to be concerned about,” she might say. “Your host has taken care of everything. You’re just to relax and have fun now.”
